We are not an emergency or crisis resource. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest ER. Some crisis lines are mandated to report calls to police — ask about their reporting policy first. Learn more at Inclusive Therapists.

It can be hard to know how to start. You can say exactly these words — that is enough:

"I'm struggling and I need to talk to someone."
"I'm having thoughts of hurting myself and I need support."
"I'm not in immediate danger, but I'm not okay and I don't know what to do."
"I don't know what to say, but I needed to call."

Before sharing details, you can ask: "Do you have a policy about contacting police?" — especially if this is a concern for you or your community.

Why we made this directory: Getting the right care matters more than getting care from us. Everyone listed here shares our values and shows up for the communities we serve. We believe our communities do best when providers know each other and send people where they will actually be helped. If you need support, we hope you find it here. If you are a provider who shares our values, reach out to us.

Please be aware that police departments are often not equipped to offer mental health support and may pose danger to minoritized communities including People of Color, Neurodivergent people, and Disabled/Differently Abled people. Consider also reaching out to community leaders, neighbors, friends, and family as support when calling emergency services. For more information, visit Inclusive Therapists.
