Long Term Therapy isn’t the only option and isn’t for everyone.

What would it be like to having a healing space alongside others who are working towards social change?

What would It be like if you could be in a space where you are working through the impacts of racism, sexism, homophobia, and Trauma with people who look like you?

What would It be like to get a day of therapy and self-care at a lower one-time cost?

EMDR Intensives will give you more time to work through Trauma in a longer term fashion: for more than 50-60 minutes to do so.

EMDR Intensives will give you the space to not only face the aggressions but have space to fully conquer them and knowing your body can handle It in the future.

EMDR Intensives gives you the time and the evidence-based modality(specifically for adults) to know that you are choosing yourself, for a short time (up to 5 days) for the benefit of the long term.

With these thoughts in mind,

What would it feel like to truly embrace your identities, uncover who you are beyond people-pleasing, and heal the pain of microaggressions, discrimination, and relationship trauma in a safe, affirming space?

What would happen if you could take a break and set It down, and JUST BE?

What would It be like EMDR Therapy could provide an emotional break from the systems and memories created to break us while working through the Traumatic experiences that impact them?

We think it would bring relief.

“Changing the memories that form the way we see ourselves also changes the way we view others. Therefore, our relationships, job performance, what we are willing to do or are able to resist, all move in a positive direction.”

Therapy Should Be a Human Right, So EMDR Intensives should be too.

Benefits of EMDR Intensives

  • Just as EMDR is a very different approach to psychotherapy, the Intensive is a very different approach to providing EMDR treatment. The “rewiring” and truly healing effect of EMDR, an Intensive can work in ways that are not possible utilizing standard talk-therapy techniques. With EMDR processing, we can create space for your brain to desensitize what it has been taught to believe in its core. Because of this, we have the space to process more in a shorter amount of time. Days, rather than months or years.

  • You will be the only client I have and the only person I will be focusing on during the time of the intensive. That means that we can focus on your holistic needs, rather than needing to push through quickly so we can move on with the day; thats the power of the intensives model.

  • EMDR Intensives come with three prepared meals each day, an offsite (still in Colorado) location for sessions, and options of activities you can engage in during the day along with EMDR. We can discuss what things could be included to customize your package.

The cost will adjust based on the activities you select. If you are flying in, we will support with getting you accommodations to stay.

  • Therapy can get very expensive. If you see a therapist weekly or bi-weekly, It can add up to be thousands each year. Even though that is a good fit for some, It is not a good fit for all and can prolong what could be completed in a shorter period of time.

  • If you are wanting to do an intensive with Josephine, you do not need to live in Colorado. You can fly in from anywhere and use this time to separate from your day to day life and focus on healing.
